I thank my God

Philippians 1:3-6 declares, “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all, making request  for you all with joy, for your fellowship (partnership) in the Gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, He Who has begun a good work in you will perform it (finish it) until the day of Jesus Christ.”  The Word of God declares in 1Timothy 6:12, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold of eternal life.”  In our Christian walk, we will come to the time when we stop asking God for His promises and instead, grab hold of them.  Luke 16:16 states, “The Kingdom of God has been preached and everyone is pressing into it.”  God told Moses at the Red Sea to stop praying, get up and stretch forth his rod.  It is time to take territory.  When Israel first left Egypt, God did not send them straight into war.  The reason for this is because He did not want them to turn back.  However, once it came time to possess their inheritance, the battle was on.  Many in the body of Christ have survived their wilderness test and now is the time to possess the land, to lay hold of our inheritance.  The good news is, the battle is not ours, but the Lord’s.  We do not have to fight the devil; we only have to fight the good fight of faith.  The devil has been defeated by the work of the Cross.  Our war is to fight the good fight of faith, being fully persuaded that, what He has promised, He is able to perform (Romans 4:21).
