Teach me to hear Your voice
Thought For Today
Dear God, teach me to hear Your voice, that I may minister healing and hope to Your people. Let me abide in the faith, hope, and love that You have poured into my life. Let me, in turn, pour out what You have given to me to encourage someone else in their walk and their future.
“For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope” (Jeremiah 29:11 NRSV).

Free Me
Thought For Today
Dear Father God, free me from emotional garbage that would turn into verbal pollution. Your Word is so clear about speaking out of the abundance of my heart. Please help keep me clean and pure of heart, so that when I do speak, it is of a good report.
“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is evil; for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks” (Luke 6:45).

Dear Jesus, help me to give the gift of joy everyday, in every area of my life, especially during the times I least feel like rejoicing. Never let me forget where I was and where I am now, and how you have blessed me in every area of my life. Father, I speak in faith for the areas that I still trust You to move on my behalf.

Dear Lord, when I feel like I’m outside looking in, let me see with Your eyes! Change my perception of rejection from man into an opportunity to see Your hand ever shaping my character, and preparing me for the trials and triumphs that lie ahead. Free me from any wounds that have been inflicted by fellow Christians, so I will always have a good report for those who seek to know You more.
“The heart knows its own bitterness; And a stranger does not share its joy” (Proverbs 14:10).

Equip Me

Dear Jesus, As I stand on Your Word, dressed in my spiritual armor, equip me to face whatever may come my way. I know I am not in the fray alone and that there truly are more with me than are with the enemy. I pray everyday for Your angels to be encamped around my family and loved ones. I ask You today for the angels You have sent to protect us, to bear us up in their hands, so we can experience all that you have for us.
“God will give His angels charge of you to guard you in all your ways” (Psalm 91:11 RSV).

Dear Jesus, show me others, and myself, through Your eyes. You walked this earth so You could relate to our pain and problems. You see us through the eyes of love because You know what we experience. Help me to always see through whatever circumstances are surrounding a situation to the hurt that is the root of pain, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord” (1Timothy 1:2).

Dear Lord, You have given us the five-fold ministry through Your teachers, preachers, prophets, apostles, and evangelists. Separately they none have all of the answers, but together they bring Your truth. Give me ears to hear and eyes to see. “Your teachers [shall not] be removed into a corner anymore, but your eyes shall see your teachers: your ears shall hear a word… saying, ‘This is the way, walk you in it…’” (Isaiah 30:20-21).

Dear Lord, will I ever really understand the true depth of Your love for mankind, or Your love for me? My finite mind cannot fathom the mysteries of such great love. You love us with such perfect love that I am overwhelmed by its power.
“Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins” (1 John 4:10).

Precious Jesus, show me when the fault is mine, so I can come before You and be free of the bondage of sin that would try to entangle me and keep me bound. Lord, I was bound before I was saved. Now I am no more a bondservant, but a child of the Living God and You have set me free. Help me to walk in liberty by being obedient to Your Word.
