Through Your Word

Thought For Today

Dear Lord, through Your Word, show me how to be an encourager and builder of Your Kingdom.  My hands are ready to be put to the plow, but it has to be Your timing and Your will, not mine.
“For it is God which works in you…” (Philippians 2:13).

Help me to seek You.

Dear God, help me to seek You with my whole heart, and draw nearer to You when I tend to lean in the wrong direction.  Direct me when my foot slips off the path You have laid for me, and keep me secure in Your will.
“[The Lord] will be the stability of your times…” (Isaiah 33:6 RSV).

Will I ever really understand?

Thought For Today

Dear Lord, will I ever really understand the true depth of Your love for mankind, or Your love for me?  My finite mind cannot fathom the mysteries of such great love.  You love us with such perfect love that I am overwhelmed by its power.
“Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins” (1 John 4:10).

Show me when the fault is mine.

Thought For Today

Precious Jesus, show me when the fault is mine, so I can come before You and be free of the bondage of sin that would try to entangle me and keep me bound.  Lord, I was bound before I was saved.  Now I am no more a bondservant, but a child of the Living God and You have set me free.  Help me to walk in liberty by being obedient to Your Word.
“If we confess our sins to Him, He can be depended on to forgive us…” (1 John 1:9 TLB).

Dear Lord, as I go through my daily routine, make Your will my desire.  You have given me the choice of free will; to listen and obey Your voice or try to sort things out on my own.  Lord, I choose Your will.

“…Thy kingdom come…” (Matthew 6:10).

Remind me daily that even as I go through situations that Your keeping power will sustain me.  I will come through all adversity victoriously because you have preserved me.

Dear Jesus, allow me a fresh start in hurt relationships, choosing to have forgiveness in my heart, rather than holding onto grudges that would keep me from growing in my relationship with You.  Let Your will manifest in my life in the supernatural and natural realm, protect me from anything that will prevent my growth and maturity in You.

“Let it rather be healed.  Follow peace with all men…lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you…” (Hebrews 12:13-15).
